NCAA Varsity Team: The LIU Sharks
With over 45 varsity horses, team members practice 3 times per week, competing on Sunday’s at various Long Island stables, against other NCAA, as well as IHSA, teams from other universities. The teams have dinners, fundraisers, events, bonding and lots of fun. The varsity team was 4th in the nation in 2022 and are considered the lions pride of Long Island’s equestrian IHSA show circuit teams. Tryouts are required to make the NCAA team. IHSA team is open for everyone to join.
